 Our
dear Lord chose Saint Dymphna as patroness of those afflicted with
mental and nervous disorders such as depression, anxiety, etc. She
has been a powerful intercessor for those who ask her intercession.
I
have never suffered from depression, but I have witnessed it's affects
upon folks. The most common prayer request we get is from those
suffering from depression and praying for relief.
On
a more personal note, my mother suffered greatly from this while
I was growing up. She sought St. Dymphna's intercession and it helped
her through those days.
