I come to you, humbled and vulnerable

    Dear family,

I come to you with a heart full of emotion and a soul wrestling with doubt and fear.

Recently, I found myself hesitating to speak up about our need for grocery gift cards...a lifeline for the families we serve...because of a single email that left me reeling.
    .
A lady emailed me and her words stung deeply: “You can’t feed the world, you're getting annoying”
    .

And she is right...I can’t save the world, and perhaps I'm annoying at times.

After shedding more tears than I care to admit, a voice, soft yet undeniable, spoke in my heart...

“Just feed the ones I send your way. This woman is hurting. Don’t let it stop you.”

In that moment, clarity broke through my pain.

Our mission isn’t to save the world in one grand gesture.
    .
It’s to touch the lives placed in front of us...families with children fighting through healthcare crises, parents barely holding it together, and little ones going to bed hungry.
    .

Every month, we stretch ourselves to provide over 465 meals, but the reality is, we rarely meet our goal.

The weight of falling short is heavy, especially when I fear the backlash of misunderstanding or criticism.
    .
Yet, who suffers the most when fear wins?
    .

It’s not me...it’s the children and the parent's choosing between gas money for a hospital trip and groceries for the week.

So I come to you, humbled and vulnerable, to ask for your help.

If you can give, please give..head HERE

If you can share, please share this blog post.
    .
If you can pray, please pray for those in need and for strength in this work.
    .

Let us remember the words of Christ.. “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

Thank you for being His hands and feet alongside me.

Together, we can feed the ones He sends our way.
    .
    Love, Wendy

    ---HELP IF YOU CAN----

Here is a post, from a recipient of what we do,.

L**** and I were one of the precipitants of This mission. She is right. My parking was 9 per day for 3 months. Then on top of that food cost me approximately 15 per day. That was cheap - I got vouchers for $5.00 per meal. So somedays I did not eat or made meals last for more then one meal. Had to. Parking was $810. Food was $1,300. Then you have normal household bills and I have 3 animals I had to pay to have people come and take care of them. At first I had my dog in the Kennel for 1/2 the time. That was about 500. It is VERY expensive to have a sick child. That was Just ONE hospital stay. We have had numerous ones. Some only a few days, some a week or two. Without their help we would of gone fully under!

From providing necessary funds to actually having families stay with us...we DO what we say we do!
