Our Hearts Are Heavy

    Our Hearts Are Heavy

    Dear family,

    .

Our hearts are heavy as we share the passing of our beloved pug, Merry.

Just last night, she left this world peacefully, resting in our living room.

We weren’t expecting it quite yet, even though we knew she was elderly and had her health issues.

When Walt came out to the office to tell me, I lost it.

I went out and sat beside her, stroking her one last time.

She was my shadow in the kitchen...I'll miss her being underfoot.

Walt was with her in her final moments, petting her as her gentle soul left this world.

It brings me comfort to know that Merry’s last breaths were spent surrounded by love, with the touch of family who loved her.

God, in His infinite kindness, gifts us the companionship of these beautiful creatures, four-legged friends who love us with a loyalty and purity that can only be Heaven-sent.

They become part of our family, our daily lives, our hearts..and when they leave us, it’s like a piece of our own hearts goes with them.

Merry was so much more than a pet; she was our family, a loyal and precious friend.

Rest well, sweet Merry. We miss you deeply.

---Some of the many wee ones we've helped---

    ---HELP IF YOU CAN----

Here is a post, from a recipient of what we do,.

L**** and I were one of the precipitants of This mission. She is right. My parking was 9 per day for 3 months. Then on top of that food cost me approximately 15 per day. That was cheap - I got vouchers for $5.00 per meal. So somedays I did not eat or made meals last for more then one meal. Had to. Parking was $810. Food was $1,300. Then you have normal household bills and I have 3 animals I had to pay to have people come and take care of them. At first I had my dog in the Kennel for 1/2 the time. That was about 500. It is VERY expensive to have a sick child. That was Just ONE hospital stay. We have had numerous ones. Some only a few days, some a week or two. Without their help we would of gone fully under!

From providing necessary funds to actually having families stay with us...we DO what we say we do!
