I’ve already cast my vote in this election, and I know many of you have done the same or will soon.
But as I reflect on what voting can and can’t do, I realize how much our hope for change can’t rest solely on any political figure or party.
In truth, we live in a time of great upheaval...economically, socially, spiritually.
No leader alone can heal these wounds or undo the harmful patterns that have long been woven into the fabric of our society.
For too long, the powers that be have prioritized control over compassion, and policies often reflect division rather than unity.
The US government, like any human institution, has its share of darkness, often choosing power over the people it serves.
And no election outcome can fully redeem that.
But here’s where I find hope.. Christ calls us to a higher standard, beyond what any government or institution can offer.
We’re called to be bearers of light in a broken world.
And that starts in our homes, our communities, our churches...not just in the voting booth.
So, yes, I voted.
And yes, I pray that our leaders work for the good of all people.
But ultimately, I place my faith in something...and Someone...bigger.
May we keep our eyes on what truly matters, not just for our country but for our souls and the souls of those around us.
Peace to each of you, and may God guide us all in these challenging times.

-----From a physician we help...he sees to the medical needs of children no one else seems to be able to help -----
L**** and I were one of the precipitants of This mission. She is right. My parking was 9 per day for 3 months. Then on top of that food cost me approximately 15 per day. That was cheap - I got vouchers for $5.00 per meal. So somedays I did not eat or made meals last for more then one meal. Had to. Parking was $810. Food was $1,300. Then you have normal household bills and I have 3 animals I had to pay to have people come and take care of them. At first I had my dog in the Kennel for 1/2 the time. That was about 500. It is VERY expensive to have a sick child. That was Just ONE hospital stay. We have had numerous ones. Some only a few days, some a week or two. Without their help we would of gone fully under!
From providing necessary funds to actually having families stay with us...we DO what we say we do!
